Utrecht is a city in the centre of the Netherlands and has been a religious centre for many centuries. It includes a medieval old town, canals, Christian monuments and a historic university. With 352,795 inhabitants, it is the fourth largest city in the Netherlands.
The city is built around the Dom Toren tower, the tower of the cathedral. The highest and oldest church tower in the Netherlands is the main monument in Utrecht. The 112 metre high cathedral tower was built between 1321 and 1382, 465 steps to visit it.
