Travel to Puglia if you like:
🏖️ Beach 🏘️ TownLand of sun and sea, Puglia is the heel of the Italian boot that seems to stretch across the Mediterranean, bathed on the east by the Adriatic and on the west by the Ionian Sea.
Ideally, you should go for ten days or so, as this will allow you to take your time and see all of Puglia. All regions are a must.
It is advisable to go to Puglia in spring or autumn as the temperatures are milder than in summer and there will be fewer people on the beaches and cities.
Trains in Puglia are quite cheap. For example: a journey from Bari to Lecce costs between 11 and 26€. Buses are the cheapest option, costing €10 for a Bari-Lecce journey.
That said, if you have a flexible budget, the car is the easiest way to get around the region.
