The different colours of these icebergs only add to the splendour of the site. There are turquoise and even dark blue icebergs. Some are pristine white and others are even yellow. This colour from the sun is due to the presence of volcanic sulphide in the area. This tranquil lake is formed by ice that has broken off from the Breiôamerkurjökull glacier. After this separation, the ice floats in the lagoon before drifting towards the Atlantic Ocean. This site offers a grandiose spectacle at all hours of the day. The place is magical with its reflections on the lagoon, its coloured ice blocks and in the background a huge glacier.
