This was taken at Mount Rainier National Park on our way to New York. We were anxious on the ride up because the sky was filled with grey clouds but when we arrived, it cleared up completely. It is hard to capture the sheer vastness of this mountain but this photo is an attempt at that.

We found this trail on accident but now it’s one of my favorites. The lake felt great on our feet but the mosquito bites did not.

I was driving up Mount Rainier during the winter season. I knew I wouldn’t have very good visibility because of cloud cover, but I didn’t let that deter me. I am delighted that I was able to take this photo because I love to think about what is hiding behind the clouds. Is there more to the mountain range? Is there a valley? The picture won’t tell us.

My boy is one to contemplate, and I wonder what it was in his head here when we were swinging in our favorite spot at Soda Springs. Peaceful, quiet, bubbling and much to imagine. Maybe he was thinking on what a life they live as fish in that pool.

One of the backpacking adventures from last summer. We spent a weekend in the Goat Rocks wilderness, a relatively remote place between Mt Rainier and Mt Adams. We hiked around 20 miles in 2 days while carrying quite a few founds, so after enjoying an spectacular sunset over Mt St Helens and having dinner, we just crashed in the tent.

Had nothing to do on this rather gloomy weekend and decided to drive out to Snoqualmie Pass with some friends to hike up to Snow Lake. Got there around 11am and rain was forecasted for later in the evening so we were there at the perfect time to capture the clouds.

4am wake up calls are worth it. Always. No exceptions. Get up, and get moving. Beautiful things happen before the world is awake.

Finally looks like winter is giving us a break, so I drove today to Mt St Helens. Having a volcano that erupted in the 80s in your backyard is a surreal experience.

Entering Mt. Baker for the first time - it was like entering a theme park with incredibly gorgeous scenery at every turn - starting with arriving at Picutre Lake at the foot of the mountains. Working my way to the top - I was greeted with 20- foot walls of snow still in place during the last week of July! Taking in the huge walls of snow, 70 degree sunny weather and girls in bikinis skiing down the face of the mountain - I realized I’d witnessed one of the most beautiful places in all of Washington State. Only in the Pacific Northwest.

Traveled to Mount Baker to explore and came across Picture Lake - the name being fairly obvious as the setting looks like a postcard in every direction that you look. The shot was taken in mid-afternoon - on possibly the prettiest day of 2018 in the Seattle area. Picture Lake is approximately 25 minutes from the very top of Mount Baker where girls are skiing in bikinis with 20-foot snow banks still accessible in late July summer.

Over two years of memories were written on a large plank of wood used to cover as a table in my friends apartment. We thought it was a good time to burn it as we all have started off on separate paths now that most of us have graduated from our universities.
