I have always been a fan of long exposure and just love to see what the highway looks at night through a lens. Night photography is it’s own category and I just keep coming back to it.

I have stopped at this spot many times and it’ll never get old. Fog typically sits in this area off Highway 542, heading to Mt Baker. Find this spot on your drive to Nooksack Falls.

I saw a perfect street on Whidbey Island in north eastern Washington. There was nobody on it and the depth of the street provided an amazing scene. Then, this lone biker, commuting to work as it seemed, popped up on the horizon and provided an interesting subject to my landscape shot!

Taken a few hundred feet above Diablo Lake in the North Cascades. Fall colors, engineering marvels, and enormous mountains disappearing into the sky; what more could you ask for?

Hurricane Ridge is one of the most popular hikes in Olympic National Park. Even during the heat of the summer, as I trekked up the mountain, the ice stayed put, not melting at all. Laying in the 80 degrees heat with the snow underneath my feet, it’s a great spot. And this photo is a reflection of that.

I love rusty old train bridges and spotted this one above this silty-green river. Had to get a bit wet to get the angle I wanted (and the river was moving quick!)

Over two years of memories were written on a large plank of wood used to cover as a table in my friends apartment. We thought it was a good time to burn it as we all have started off on separate paths now that most of us have graduated from our universities.

Near the famed Public Market, otherwise known as Pike Place, is the Seattle eye giving a bird’s eye view of the harbor and surrounding area. Maybe you’ll be lucky and the skies will be blue. Not always a given in Seattle.

What an amazing city. Even though this picture isn’t of the city, it’s always going to remind me of the amazing people and ideas I found there in May 2018. I shot this just before stepping off the Bainbridge ferry at the end of a long day walking around Ballard and Bainbridge Island. Thanks to Dribbble and friends for giving me an excuse to spend a weekend exploring a small piece of the Pacific Northwest. Thanks to Sofia. I want to give a shoutout to my friend Joe (http://www.josephhaubert.com), the stuff he taught me in a class has really upped my photography skills.

My first time in Seattle a few years ago I decided to take it all in by foot. Walking all over the city I found myself heading towards the sound right around sunset. As I came out of the underground tunnel I was greeted with this pier view out towards the mountains and the sunset.

Traveled to Mount Baker to explore and came across Picture Lake - the name being fairly obvious as the setting looks like a postcard in every direction that you look. The shot was taken in mid-afternoon - on possibly the prettiest day of 2018 in the Seattle area. Picture Lake is approximately 25 minutes from the very top of Mount Baker where girls are skiing in bikinis with 20-foot snow banks still accessible in late July summer.

Entering Mt. Baker for the first time - it was like entering a theme park with incredibly gorgeous scenery at every turn - starting with arriving at Picutre Lake at the foot of the mountains. Working my way to the top - I was greeted with 20- foot walls of snow still in place during the last week of July! Taking in the huge walls of snow, 70 degree sunny weather and girls in bikinis skiing down the face of the mountain - I realized I’d witnessed one of the most beautiful places in all of Washington State. Only in the Pacific Northwest.
