After delays and long lines at the airport, I was glad to finally have boarded the last flight of my month-long summer trip and could not wait to get this flight over with. As I opened the window shade, Mother Nature forced me to take my words back.

Walking through Brooklyn, I saw the same shot as seen in Once Upon A Time In America, and to my surprise, the Empire State Building lined up perfectly with the bridge. One of NYC’s best hidden gems.

I was wandering around Brooklyn’s riverside at dusk when I stumbled upon East River State Park and a closed off pier. I was able to rig up this long exposure poking my lens through the fence. It was a hot summer evening and the park was bustling so shooting this deserted pier really felt like a luxury!

I have always wanted to capture the New York skyline but was never able to. This time I went early to the Brooklyn Bridge Park and sat down in the hopes of getting that shot. As you can see, I was lucky enough to get this beautiful shot of this awesome city.

While this is a picture thousands of people had taken, I was working just on the Brooklyn side of the Brooklyn Bridge and so I took my camera and tripod with me and took this image.

This is one of the best places to view the sunset in New York City. Over on the Brooklyn side in Dumbo is this cove that offers views of the Brooklyn Bridge, Jane’s Carousel and the Manhattan Skyline.

I was in New York for a friends birthday and as we walked along the water next to Jane’s Carousel, I saw these two girls sitting here eating ice cream and chatting and it felt very classic.

Set my tripod on the edge of the river and waited for the sun to go down. The lights of the city really make the skyline sparkle at night.

When the sun started to go down there was a big cloud blocking the show. I turned around and started walking up this bridge. I was trying to get a picture of some ivy against a wall when I made it 3/4 the way up that bridge. I turned around and saw the sky open up and turn a golden purplish color. This was one of the coolest sunsets I’ve ever seen.

This shot was taken on my first trip to NYC late last summer. Brooklyn was near the top of my list of places to check out while I was there. I loved the architecture in this area, it seemed that every corner you turned was filled with another picturesque city street (but maybe that was just the awe of experiencing NYC for the first time hitting me full force). We walked around for hours, exploring as many shops and streets and alleyways as we could before the light started to fade. We hung out in Empire Fulton Ferry Park watching the lights of the financial district slowly come on.

I was looking for a famous pizza shop and had just crossed the Brooklyn Bridge on foot. When I got off the bridge this was the first thing I saw.

Traveling from Central America, the first impression of the big apple was two things gather in this pictures, skyscraper and surveillance, it was great to be in NYC, but I couldn’t ignored how this two things can make the first impression.

I was taking a stroll with my newborn nephew at a local park, enjoying the quality time, scenic views and warmth of the day. As the sun set the sky turned hundreds of different colors, reminding me of the effortless beauty of nature. The Manhattan skyline served a perfect canvas for the colors to transform. It was one of those moments where you have to be in the right place, at the right time, with a camera ready.

Was lucky enough to visit New York a few weeks back. I had in my head I wanted to take one of those iconic photos of people crossing the street in New York.

As we were driving into New York, I saw this sign for the first time, and just knew that I had to get a photo of it. Every day, walking out of our hotel, I would look up and hope for good clouds and lighting, and on day three, I finally got lucky.

I took this juste before getting on the bus back to Boston, after an entire day walking the streets of Manhattan on my own and shooting. Surely one of the best days of my life!

This was my second time in NY city and I had a mission to take a good picture of this landmark because I failed to do it first time. I used my Joby Gorillapod and ND filter in order to capture a crisp long exposure shot and spent quite some time sitting on the ground, playing with different settings, trying to catch a perfect vehicle trail.

I was in the US for the first time, I have visited all the places and that includes Empire State Building, I’ve been waiting for the sunset 4 hours there, I was freezing but it was worth the shot. Hope you like it.
