The higher elevations of the backcountry in Utah has maple trees and aspen trees. I was able to capture the colors at the peak time, simply beautiful.

It had been a busy wildfire season and recent burns created a stunning view of mountain layers at the summit of the Pfeifferhorn. The hike includes scrambling the ridge seen in the lower right to gain the summit.

On our trip to Utah, my husband and I explored the Great Salt Lake. It was a very cold, windy, and foggy day. I was looking at the lake, but turned around to gaze at the mountains behind me. This photo makes me feel empowered, adventurous, and at peace. The pop of red is my favorite!

I am not a photographer, but I had to take this picture. Although I cannot remember which ski resort I was at when I took this, it is either Snowbird or Canyons Resort. I was in awe of the scenery when I came off the chairlift and had to take the photo.

Starting our dirt road trek through Utah we came across what looked like strategically placed boulders scattered across at the feet of this mesa. Over time the weather peeled apart this Mesa releasing giant boulders running down its side. But the mind blowing aspect is how these boulders are able to stand on sediment mounds and balance as such.
