Travel guide of Diamond Peak37 km from Diamond Peak
This was taken at a small pull off in Crescent, OR. The view of this mountain (diamond peak) was so far away that it was barely visible in the distance. I got out the biggest lens I had and was amazing to see these wonderful scenes. Weirdly enough it was also snowing. This was in July.

I was traveling from Los Angeles to Portland solo for a work show. I had never drove past the northern California boarder and was excited to be able to make the journey all the way up. I took the long route, I-5 didn’t make the cut. Two lane highways, no rush, nothing but me and the drive. I decided to detour even further north-east than planned just to see what was the deal with Crater Lake, probably one of my best moves on that trip. I had got there around 9am and was able to see shades of blue I had never witnessed in nature before.

Over the summer, my best friend Grant and I went backpacking. I captured this shot naked, shortly before sunset, just after we hopped out of the pools surrounding our camp. It was magical and all too much fun.

The first piece of wild I visited in Oregon, way back in 2012. The trail here is easy and accessible; the memories and learnings since are rugged, overpowering, and constant, and ultimately awesome. Like the river.

Searching for a camp spot, we found a long dirt road that we drove down and discovered this amazing little spot. We cleared it out, and discovered the moss bench (back of photo) and built a fire. Right next to this spot there is a rushing river which makes it the perfect setting to fall asleep to!

Yesterday we took a trip out to Smith Rock State Park to soak in Oregon’s High Desert. It’s the perfect outdoor adventurer’s playground with sheer cliffs made up of volcanic layers of basalt and tuff with the Crooked River cutting it’s way through the canyon. Climbers enjoy this area, and there are many trails for easy to moderate/hard hikes.

Me: It's almost dark out, I'm in the middle of huge inland sand dunes and have no idea where the dirt road went, there's a consistent 30 mph wind blowing sand everywhere...now would be the perfect time to get out of my car and fly my drone! I nearly blinded myself from sand blowing in my eyes and the wind was blowing so hard that even at full speed, my drone was still being pushed further away... But I had to capture that texture, the curves, the shadows, and the awesome wisps of sand flying across the desert floor. I think this photo proves my efforts were worth it.
