This house was such a long way off it was a challenge to see the details. Out came my camera and I was able to capture this amazing sight. The sun was baking hot and the view could not have been better. I want to live here… in the summer months of course. ;-)

I was visiting Wales for the first time and a friend of mine, Steve brought me to visit the beach, along with his dog Muffins. Since we couldn’t bring Muffins to play at the usual beach, we brought him to the dog beach right next to it. After playing for half an hour with his favourite tennis ball, it was time to go home. Just as we were walking back Muffins took his tennis ball and ran up a small hill, gazing to the sea and enjoying the wind. It was a lovely evening, with a lovely photo to remind me of the simple enjoyments in life.

This was taken at about 5am as the sun rose over Llyn y Fan Fach in the Brecon Beacons National Park, Wales. We wild camped the night before a few metres from this spot.

We spent a morning trying to find a waterfall, but without any joy, so made other plans. At the end of the very full day we were tired and just wanted to head back to our holiday home, but spotted a sign on the way back which featured the word waterfall. We stopped and did a bit of research, and realising it was only 10 mins walk from the nearest car park, we headed out to find it. We were not disappointed. Even though we were in the middle of the second hottest summer on record (and so there was less water flowing) the waterfall was stunning. This was taken from behind the waterfall. Magical!

This beach brings back memories of many a childhood family holiday. This contemplative shot has a calming mood and beautiful atmospheric colours. The horizontal bands are soothing and the soft focus adds to the dreamy quality.

One the shore of the Loughor River that divides Swansea in Llanelli in south Wales. A bitterly cold day, but excellent light and what a view! The mountains are a challenge on any day, but not this day, they came out so clear.

The mysterious lighthouse of the Gower. A place for ghosts? Maybe. When I was there, I had to move like a ghost around there. The tide was rising and the beach was 15 minutes away. I made it easily as I checked the tide hours. But if you go there, be careful and always give yourself enough time to escape, before one of the highest tides of the world reach you.

Whilst walking through a beautiful wooded area I stumbled across a waterfall that was simply breathtaking. I just had to snap a long exposure of the silky smooth water.

Ludlow Castle is a Norman Fortress that has been extended to be a Royal Palace giving it a significant place in English history. The castle has been owned by the Earles of Powis since 1811 who have preserved the current building which is open to visitors. Photo was taken, with permission, using a DJI Inspire drone on a perfect English summers day. Abereiddy is a hamlet in the county of Pembrokeshire, in south-west Wales. It has a small beach which was awarded the Blue flag rural beach award in 2005. A large car park adjoins the beach, where in the summer an ice cream van can usually be found - wiki

Off on a weekend with some friends who love to overland and camp. We spent the morning fighting the unrelenting usual English weather of rain followed by more rain. Upon our return to camp pictured here the weather just decided to break and for the rest of the day we got stunning blue skies and a perfect example of a great summers day. I spent about 20 minutes flying my Mavic Air over camp taking a few video clips and messing about with some compositions.

On a day hike up Mount Snowdon in Wales I found a hidden lake of crystal blue water. After trying to find the perfect vantage point for the best part of an hour I captured this shot of hidden water.

This fire started at Cilgwyn Mountain last night. Still going today and has spread a mile. There were 40 firemen/women on the scene overnight with police helicopter helping the fighters to survey the area.

It was a gruelling climb up Y Garn (947m), North Wales in the dark this particular morning, with the objective of capturing the sunrise from the top. It was well worth the total exhaustion! As the sun rose higher we then headed over towards Glyder Fawr (1001m) to get better views across the Snowdonia mountain range. As we came over the ridge this was the view that confronted us. A stunning spectacle of light and shadows created my mist/haze over the mountain tops and valleys. Swapping the wide angle lens for a zoom lens enabled capturing of the full impact of the layered light.

Nothing extraordinary about this - just with the extended family, and I loved the way the abandoned floats had clustered down one end of the pool. Almost as if they knew the people had given up on the pool for the day and they only had each other for company.

I took this photo early this year when the snow was disappearing off the mountains of Snowdonia, North Wales. I decided to shoot a long exposure to capture the swirls the strong current of the water was creating.

I shot this while out with my mate Baz and his drone. He was filming the sunset across the river with his drone and I was shooting long exposure landscapes. When I looked up and saw the drone blocking the sun I grabbed a quick snap.

I went to visit my daughter who lives on the outskirts of Bristol, specifically for the annual Bristol Balloon Fiesta and the Nightglow, when the hot air burners and turned on and off to music. A great spectacle.

I volunteer for a mental health organisation and was meant to be meeting one of their service users who I’m helping out. We had planned to go on a photo walk but unfortunately, they didn’t show. I decided to take a few shots anyway and wanted to get some practice shooting buildings.
