We were walking up a hill in the North Yorkshire countryside and I decided that this scene would make a beautiful image. I used an old Helios 44-2 to capture this landscape. It almost looks like a watercolour painting.

The Shambles in York feel as if you have walked straight onto a Harry Potter set. The hustle and bustle of people going in and out of the medieval shops and restaurants transported you through time.

Hull Pot is essentially the remains of a cave, of which there are many in the Yorkshire Dales, where the “roof” has collapsed, leaving a giant chasm in the surrounding moorland underneath Pen-y-ghent. It’s the largest natural hole in England, measuring 300 ft long, 60 ft wide, and 60 ft deep. But arguably the main showstopper of the area is Pen-y-ghent (694 m/2,277 ft), the fell that dominates the skyline all around the Ribblesdale valley. It’s an unusual name as it sounds very Welsh; that’s because the name survives from ancient Cumbric, which is related to Welsh.

After a 7 mile walk around the beautiful Gisburn Forrest in the Forrest of Bowland we were against the clock. The winer sun was setting fast and so we knew we had to take a shortcut through, what looked like, a disused track back to our car We stumbled across an old pine forrest that had been hit by a massive storm only a couple of years ago. Everything was perfect, the sun just landing on the horizon, the temperature dropping to 0c and even Wally our dog not running through shot. Amazing what you find off the beaten path

Rainbow over the Yorkshire Dales, I was treated to the rainbow over this barn in the distant. I thought whoever's' barn it was would have a bit of luck that day.

Managed to get this shot about halfway through my hike the other day. I peaked the trail I was on to discover a deserted reservoir, not a person in sight. Ended up jumping the wall surrounding it to shoot some stuff, resulting in this image. Luke.x

So, this is during my university life. I had planned to capture light trails in Manchester since a long time. One night after dinner, a week before I was returning to my home country for summer break I suddenly decided to hit the road for light trails. For me it’s not about the end result always, it’s more about the process. Because the process he’s you to the destination and that’s not only in photography but in life everywhere.

An inquisitive tree lover from my local park gardens. Probably on the hunt for snacks but only finding photos. I love the longing look into the mid distance pose I managed to direct.

I remember seeing a picture like this a long time ago. I knew at that point that I would have to go and experience it for myself one day. After some research, it turns out that if you wait until the end of the Summer the sun sets right at the top of the valley resulting in this magnificent sunset! I still feel like the picture doesn’t even do it justice!

The autumn is a special time for us as photographers; I really feel that I should spend my all time out in the wood and hills. This photograph is a result of several visits to this place. I realized that lying down on the ground will give the best perspective. Please help me raise my profile and visit my other photos in 500px.

We woke to an unexpected snowfall. The skies had lifted but there was still a bite to the cold air. We’d planned a walk over the hills to the pub in Castleton and decided not to let the lack of adequate clothing hold us back. The snow lifted the landscape and made beautiful features of countryside furniture that may otherwise have seemed untidy. This gate, serving little purpose in its current state, seemed justified in its decision to give up on its regular task.

Im a student, I live in London 9 out of the 12 months so when I visit home, there is no better feeling than breathing the fresh air and exploring my surroundings. Ashby Ville is a lake which took the life of one of my close friends when I was younger, the council took action and made the area safer and more environmentally friendly, it was great to explore the new land.

I have always enjoyed capturing winter sceneries. This came as a spontaneous idea but turned to be not disappointing after a lonely walk along the road. Please help me to raise my profile by likes and acknowledgments. You can find my other photos at: https://500px.com/aligooya

This stunning Waterfall in the north of England gave me nightmares. I honestly couldn’t fall asleep that night as the image of watching down from where it all starts, was so frightening. It was the most violent waterfall I’ve witnessed.

This local national park is beautiful every season and I have been capturing each one. The trees are usually the ones I look up to but at this time of year its more about looking down. The incredible golden pathway the leaves have created only happens for maybe 4-6 weeks. The squirrels are still running around collecting for the winter. It may have been an overcast day but the colour created by nature set the tone.

This has to be my favourite image from my latest day shooting and this was a super last minute shot. I had my bag on my back, heading up the beach to catch my train home, camera still in hand. I happened to see these two lads just sat in total silence, glaring at the sunset, just like they were hooked in the moment. So down I got (to their level) and took the shot. Best last minute shot ever. Luke. x

Last week, I got married! Straight after, the wife and I headed up to Whitby to enjoy each other’s company. I went for a walk one morning, and was met by glorious early sunshine. As I sat down on the pier, taking in the picturesque North Yorkshire views, I felt happier than I have in a long, long time. This picture really sums this feeling up for me, and I love how the grey of my trainers are bathed in sunlight against the turquoise sea.

I was stood at the end of Whitby Pier in Yorkshire, England watching the sea fisherman. The pier has two levels and as I was on the upper one I had a great view of what was happening below. The light on the sea was amazing and as I looked down I saw a sneaky hand reaching towards the bag - to me it looked like he was trying to steal his mate’s fish or lunch.

The Whitby Abbey was the inspiration for Bram Stocker’s novel, “Dracula.” While we did not get bitten by vampires, we thought we were going to blow away in the wind this day! While our hair was whipping around in front of our eyes, we caught glimpses of the grass flowing as if it was made of water. The golden hues matched perfectly with the abbey ruins.
