Where I’m based in Thailand, Pink anemone fish are common. They’re plucky little creatures that will defend their homes from even the biggest of creatures, (including the very overwhelming reflective glass and bubbles from a divers mask and regulator) this bravery makes them one of my favourite creatures to see whilst under the surface. Especially during a safety stop at 5m, when the sunlight shows the colours in all their glory.

I took this shot of my two friends as we were biking on the beach in south of the Island called Koh Samui in Thailand. At low tide you can ride on the hard packed sand banks up to 400 meters off shore and see the Island in the background is called Koh Tan. This is an all green Island with no vehicles allowed. You can ride a bike or electric golf cart but not gas powdered vehicles allowed.

In coastal areas of Thailand long tail boats are everywhere and used for everything. They are beautifully simple and functional with large gasoline engines, often from cars, mounted to a swivel plate in the rear of the boat. The long tail is in fact a propeller shaft directly driven by the motor. No clutch or transmission involved so while they may be simple they are not easy to drive!
