Spontaneous decision to hike up Elephant Mountain in Taipei during my 1 week solo stay. Wanted to catch the sunset at the top but I couldn’t quite handled the amount of stamina required to hike but still managed to get this shot that I absolute love.

An extended view of our room with a view. This shot shows how Taipei lives at night. It’s a city I would definitely come back to.
Instead of a touristy sunrise walk to Chusan, we decided to do a short hike up to the tea fields right in front of our B&B. It was most definitely the right choice.
During a recent speaking engagement I was able to take some time and explore the countryside of northern Taiwan. This was taken wandering the alleyways of Jiufen, the supposed inspiration for Miyazaki’s Spirited Away.

Yehliu is a cape on the north coast of Taiwan. It’s known for Yehliu Geopark, a landscape of honeycomb and mushroom rocks eroded by the sea. Well-known formations named for their shapes include the Queen’s Head and Dragon’s Head.

A beautiful panoramic view at around 3 km above sea level after a winding road through central Taiwan.
3200+ meters above sea level, the highest road in Taiwan. A beautiful view accompanied by a relaxing chill breeze.
