Travel guide of Weisshorn5 km from Weisshorn
We were planning on having a small trek up Zinnal lake in Switzerland. But once we got on top we realize how lucky we were and how breath-taking the scenery was.

We saw a magical sunrise this morning from Sunnega. After that we hiked across Stellisee, Fluhalp, Grindjesee and Findeln back to Zermatt. Just beautiful!

We were on a gondola heading down to Zermatt Switzerland after spending time on Klein Matterhorn. The experience and the view was breathtaking.

We spent our last money for a taxi taking us into Zermatt, a small tourist hotspot in the swiss alps. My friends and I walked about half an hour to sneak onto the last train to the Riffelsee. Up there it was bloody cold with temperatures below zero. We managed to sleep there anyway and it was totally worth it. When the sun started rising the clouds slowly disappeared and with the water still quiet the top of the Matterhorn got lit up step by step. The reflection in the Riffelsee made it the perfect shot. Highly recommended experience!

Between snow and sun, I had to catch the perfect moment when it wasn’t too windy. On this day at “Simplon-Pass” (sempione in italian) it was really awesome to fly over a lot of White, new snow… On the side of the roads were at least 2.5m of snowwalls. The only sad thing about this adventure was that I couldn’t drive myself up there in a powerful car - instead we took the bus but there were still very amazing views!

So, we went to this mountain with a friend of mine because it’s near our village in Switzerland. We almost died twice before arriving on site, but it was worth it. The view was amazing and we had a great time. This hike gave me more motivation than I already had to go out and capture our beautiful world.

I took this photo on the decent from the Breithorn/Valais after a beautiful camp night in the wild. Perfect spot to light up a big bonfire with friends and celebrate the Swiss National Day!

Going wild camping in the Swiss Alps is quite an adventure, especially when you need to find a flat spot which is large enough to receive your tent. But as in the Alps, slopes are dominating the scenery… This week-end I was lucky to find a nice place for my tent, but had some spectacular views on the surrounding mountains, like the one pictured here. Erosion, avalanches and rockfall dig deep canions in the slopes add to the character of this valley, following the “La Lizerne” river up to Les Diablerets.

We hiked up this mountain in Lenk, Switzerland to catch the sunset. There were all these flowers sprouting up like little stars when a week before there was nothing.

After about one hour of hiking in the Swiss Alps, me and my friends made it to this gem of lake. We waited over two hours till the wind was not blowing that much. Suddenly the fog rolled in.

One of the most impressive lakes in Switzerland I’ve visited! We were photographing around the lake when suddenly the fog rolled in. It was an incredible amazing mood.

My hard drive is full with “urban magic”. Well maybe just urban shots. I need some more training to apply “magic” because I am still working on my framing when I’m in cities. Too much landscape does this to you. At least I’am not afraid to experiment and dare to “kill the vibe” on my Instagram feed, every now and then.

Even though we were surrounded by snow, it felt warm. The sun reflected and bounced off the snow to cover us in warmth. At this elevation in Switzerland, you feel almost in the clouds, it’s surreal. And yet, it’s a simple train ride to the top, no climbing gear needed.

We were on our way to the infamous Eiger and couldn’t resist stopping to admire this stunning view of the Swiss Alps (@lukewesney on Instagram for more).

Ever gone to Switzerland? It’s a great place to just wander off somewhere and to get completely lost in the mountains. That is what we did here. This way you can sit and marvel at the Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau in total solitude.

After snapping some photos from the window room, I lied on the bed to rest my legs for a while. After 20 minutes, I saw the last rays of light coloring the top of the Jungfrau and could not help myself snapping more pictures while sitting on the bed.

Lauterbrunnen is situated in one of the most impressive trough valleys in the Alps, between gigantic rock faces and mountain peaks. With its 72 thundering waterfalls, secluded valleys, colourful alpine meadows and lonely mountain inns, the Lauterbrunnen Valley is one of the biggest nature conservation areas in Switzerland. J.R.R.Tolkinen hiked from Interlaken to the Lauterbrunnen Valley in 1911. The landscape later provided the concept and pictorial model for his sketches of the fictitious valley of Rivendell.

My wife and I were travelling along a winding alpine pass in central Switzerland, anxiously navigating through a terrible storm, in hopes of catching a rainbow. With my wife driving, and I eagerly looking out the passenger window hoping to find a photo in the dense fog. We found the storm had broken on the other side of the valley with a gigantic rainbow! “Faster! We’re gonna miss it”, I exclaimed while my wife drove on - clearly more focused on the rainbow than the driving conditions. We came to a stop along the road, but alas, had missed the rainbow. The view was still worth it.

We were wandering around Grindelwald aimlessly while we ran into this church. After looking around, I decided to pull the drone out and grab a few shots. The epicness of the Eigar, Jungfrau and Monch surrounding this church and town was amazing. I had never felt this much of a grand presence and feel blessed to have been able to experience this.
