Travel guide of RheinschluchtI went on a little adventure with my friends. We went to the Rheinschlucht (aka the swiss grand canyon). I brought my drone and took it for a flight. Everything went good. Later we went to another place too shoot the rheinschlucht from a new perspective. I flown my drone again. Unfortunately I crashed this time - on the other side of the river - My friend did exactly the same 5 minutes later. Wasn’t a good drone day.

There are many beautiful hikes in Switzerland. But the 5-lake hike in Pizol is just amazing. It is very popular. On weekends there are thousands of people hiking this trail. Not only because it is very accessible. It is also just breathtaking. You can do the hike within 4.5 - 5 hours if you’re in shape. And you can take a swim in some of the lakes, if you dare.

No, I’m not a lazy photographer. But at this certain situation yes. And you would not notice it. It took me in total about 1 minute to shoot. Setting up gear, traveling to the location, etc. Why? Because it was made directly out of my bedroom. I used a 200mm lense without tripod. The shoot is one of my quickest shoot ever.

I was on a week long trip through the canton of Graubünden in Switzerland. We had a lot of plans and not much time to explore the region. But on this specific evening we took our time to do a mini hike up to the lake (Schwellisee). We were rewarded with a beautiful view over the mountainscapes of Arosa.

When we arrived to Braunwald, it was very foggy. Houses and trees were barely visible along the hiking trail. After an hour of walking up the hill we were rewarded with some breathtaking views, as the mountain started to emerge.

We were on our hiking trip to the mountain 'Falknis', when we saw the reflection of the Glegghorn in the water of the 'Lake Unterst' at the begin of the 'Fläscher Valley'. This spot is mainly known by locals. Anyway, it's worth to going there.

We had hired a huge van to live out of for 2 months travelling through Europe, however when it came to Klausen Pass in Switzerland the van was way too big for the narrow winding road. Luckily there wasn’t too many cars on the road, and only one fence post was brushed on the way though. Managed to find a spot to park the van and grab a couple of shots of this magnificent drive.

One of my best tours in 2018. After I hiked through the night, I reached the top of the mountain just in time for sunrise. I knew there was this tower close to the summit, but I’ve never been up there before. So I enjoyed a beautiful sunrise with great views to Davos/Klosters and the Prättigau-Valley before I descended back to Davos Wolfgang. By the way, the peak is reachable via a marked trail, so highly recommended for many skill levels…

The photo was taken in Euthal, Switzerland, early morning in December. All the week was snowing but that day the sun was shining. A nice fog was covering some part of the lake that was almost frozen.

The Alpstein in northwest Switzerland is so dense and small, it is just perfect for touristy pictures. I live here but still feel like a tourist every single time.

We took this hike up to Ebenalp to get this view over Lake Seealp and the swiss alps. One of the Summits is called Hoher Kasten which means HIGH BOX ;-) By the way, can you spot the flying thing?

If you are on a hike over noon. Normally the light isn’t really good. But if you have beautiful clouds hanging in the sky, they will cast some nice shadows on the ground. This one is taken at Lago Ritom in Ticino. A beautiful Hike up to the Capanna Cadlimo.

After a 3.5 hour hike we reached our goal for the day. Capanna Cadlino. A hut managed by the SAC (Schweizer Alpen Club / Swiss Alpine Club). Opening Times are from mid of June until mid of October. The hut is located at 2570m above sea level. It has around 80 beds and you can stay there for free, if you make it over the slack line without falling into the water (which is below the slack line) =) More information: http://www.cadlimohuette.ch/cadlimo-huette/

Picture of the Grosser Mythen mountain is Switzerland done during a snowshoe walk around the mountain. The mountain is basically a huge stone, almost no trees, and a nice contrast with the white snow.

Life is full of adventures. This image was created during one of my own adventures on the top of Fronalpstock in Switzerland. During the day thousands and thousands of tourists where passing by this spot. But the last chairlift was running at 5:30pm. Suddently the place became very quiet and calm. The fog started to clear up and reveal the two peaks. This image represents one of the most beautiful sunsets I ever saw.

Imagine you are above the fog. Seeing the sun set. Then you turn around and see this. A mountain summit peaking out of the fog and catching fire. Goosebumps all over your body. And a refreshing feeling of joy and thankfulness filling up your body. This is Switzerland. This I can call my home. I really appreciate that a lot lately.

Evening mood in the smaller mountain range of the Swiss Alps: the Alpstein. I was disappointed not to be up there during golden hour, but it was a small comfort to take this shot on the way home.

The Gotthard Pass or St. Gotthard Pass (Italian: Passo del San Gottardo, German: Gotthardpass) at 2,106 m (6,909 ft) is a mountain pass in the Alps traversing the Saint-Gotthard Massif and connecting northern and southern Switzerland. The pass lies between Airolo in the Italian-speaking canton of Ticino, and Andermatt in the German-speaking canton of Uri, and connects further Bellinzona to Lucerne, Basel, and Zurich.
