Travel guide of BorgholmThe very first bathhouse in Borgholms harbor was built in 1865 in the eastern part of the harbor and was a combined hot and cold bathhouse. A cold bathhouse in the western part of the harbor was only clear in 1882, in the same place where the current cold bathhouse stands. The building was constructed according to drawings by engineer John Löfmark, Kalmar. It was devastated by a storm in February 1934, but was rebuilt the same year, in a smaller size, ready to open for midsummer. This is still the same structure today, and has to be experienced if you visit the island of Öland.

We searched the coast line for 5 hours to find a new unridden break. After a lot of trekking through forests and rocky beached we finally gave up and took a decision to check our regular surf spot just before sunset. We arrived just as the sun was setting and managed to finally catch some waves. The light was too good not to try to capture and I was happy I brought water camera to get this shot.

It's Christmas Eve in Sweden, the water is crystal clear and have a temperature about 5 degrees celsius. At this time of year we have about 6 hours of sun light, this day it stayed like this the whole day. That this day also was the day after me and my fiancée got engaged was just such a blessing, it felt like the best way to start the rest of our lives.
