I took this photo in Gaztelugatxe, Basque Country. This natural scenario is now known for being the place where the images of Dragonstone where filmed for Game of Thrones.
The 231 winding steps to reach the San Juan de Gaztelugatxe church are a man-made maze through the sea and up the hill.
This church from the 10th (!) century is located beautifully on top of a hill in the sea near Bilbao.

Huge sandy beach and inlet between tall crags, backed by protected dunes and meadows of wildflowers. Eclectic mix of Basque families, textiles and nudists, adding to the wild and natural charm. Gentle sloping entry into the sea, so perfect for families and children. You can often spot Griffon Vultures, with their enormous wingspans, circling the hills above the beach.
