Jerez de la Frontera is a very old city. A lot of people think downtown is a place full of shops, but it’s not. The real center is this. It’s abandoned and the houses are falling down, but people prefer to keep going shopping at the new stores.

Taken on the way back to port from a trip of Dolphin Spotting in Southern Spain, I was intrigued by the rare shape of this tower, which looks to me like a guard tower for the port of Duquesa. This photo reminds me of the tranquility felt on holiday, and feels like a reality different from the ‘normal’ everyday life.
