But then, we found this. And, boy, did we love it! Haven’t walked on an iced river ever since I was a child, so you can imagine the joy.

It was the end of May in Cluj County. We took our bikes to Buscat, rode from there up to Muntele Mare, then came all the way down to Cluj-Napoca (with some bits of up). This photo is a 30 second exposure. It was taken at night, under completely dark sky. The left side of the mountain is lit by the lights of the village of Torockó. The mountain is situated in Erdély. I took this picture on my holiday as one of my first astrophoto attempts. Torockó is a beautiful Hungarian village and the locals are very kind and welcoming.

After a mass in the church just a few people were seated and I wanted to imply a solitude and serenity in a photo. Incredible stained-glass windows and atmosphere was pretty subtle and dim. I’ve enhanced additionally the light from the window.

My girlfriend woke me up at 4 am and asked me if I wanna go to a road trip. I said yes, and in like 5 minutes we were on the road. She took me to this old citadel and we were waiting for the sunset. I felt so peaceful and relaxed.

We came to Romania specifically to drive two roads that are famous for their scenery: the Transalpina and the Transfagarasan. This photo was taken on the Transalpina, which we drove twice. Both of the times it was so foggy that we almost did not see anything. This was one of the few shots we managed to take where the great landscape is visible. Many people thought it was taken with a drone but actually it’s taken from a high cliff. One of us was driving, the other one was climbing.
