The castle was built in the 14th century. Actually, it was fully reconstructed. The investor didn’t meet any financial support from many institutions and - as a joke - there’s the list of potential ones with 0 złoty next to each of them ;)

A relaxing afternoon spent driving through the forest heading towards a distant and obscure lunch spot. Instead of going thru highways, my friend likes to take backroads and discover new routes. Always a grand time.

I was going on my own through forest of Puszcza Knyszynska (Poland) and the forest I walked many times earlier, didn’t resemble the one I used to know. It was covered in heavy fog and covered with snow. I was so deeply involved in admiring and catching the right frames, that I suddenly realized, I don’t know, where I am. This is the magic of forest. :)

You are coming back from university. As usual, you missed a bus. You walk through the center. In your ears you hear your favorite song and see how the city wakes up from lethargy.

I parked. I turned off the engine. I got out and realized that I was right at the entrance to the portal, which is about to take me to another world. Strong light. Shadows. Moisture. The smell of the forest. The singing of birds. I put on my backpack, closed the car. Behind the trees the sun was shining, drawing clear rays of light in humid air. I watched them change with the branches swaying in the wind. I knew that in a moment I was going to move to another world for good. For an hour, for two. For a priceless time. For a time when there is no time. I turned on my watch, I set off.

I have taken this photo in Saint Nicholas Church, Kalisz, Poland. Definitely one of the most amazing Churches I’ve ever seen. The colors and the dark atmosphere gives it a unique experience.

It was 6:30am in the morning, after a sleepless bus drive from Warsaw to Krakow, we wanted to walk around the city to take a glace at the city center. The sun had just risen and seemed to perfectly light up the hotel which had the bold ‘Hotel Polonia’ typograph. Krakow is a beautiful city with so much to offer.

The Dunajec river, sitting on the border between Poland and Slovakia, is home to some amazing views. There’s amazing kayaking, hiking and biking trails, gorgeous mountains and some great fly-fishing spots.

Here they were killed, in the gas chamber built in the morgue of the crematorium 1, or died because of the impossible working conditions, executions, beatings, tortures, illnesses, hunger, criminal medical experiments, about 70 000 people, mostly Polish intellectuals and Soviet prisoners of war. In the basement of Block 11 of Auschwitz, the camp prison on September 3, 1941 was first tested by the deputy commander of the camp Karl Fritzsch, for the killing of 850 prisoners, the Zyklon B gas, normally used as an antiparasitic, then used on a large scale for the Jewish genocide ..

Poznan, Poland Urban Reflections I particularly enjoy the way the city feels just after a rain. I love the smell, the atmosphere but mostly I love the puddles and how they reflect new perspectives from my everyday route.

While in Auschwitz-Birkenau, a rose gave back some beauty in the horror of this place. You could still feel the atmosphere of the time. One of my personal favorite.

It’s a cat… It’s a fox… It’s Fennec! A cute little creature that you’d like to take home from the zoo. But it’s actually a predator and there were two bodies (parts of them) of two little chickens. That’s not in the frame obviously ;)

That’s what people do on vacation: start a barbeque in the middle of the night to have some sausages. The dog was completely unstable because of what was happening ;)

At the time I was taking this photo, there were a lot of ducks in the park that just ran away, shouting. But there were also those two swans, and I took a photo of one of them. They were cool and didn’t mind approaching them that close.

“Branicki Palace is a historical edifice in Białystok, Poland. It was developed on the site of an earlier building in the first half of the 18th century by Jan Klemens Branicki, a wealthy Polish–Lithuanian Commonwealth hetman, into a residence suitable for a man whose ambition was to become king of Poland (…) All built almost at the same time according to French models was the reason why the city was known in the 18th century as Versailles de la Pologne (Versailles of Poland).”

I try to go to the mountains at least once a week. This time I went to Stołowe Mountains. The day was cloudy and when stumbled upon little lake in the middle of the forest it did not look very interesting. However, after few minutes when the sun came out, the situation changed dramatically. The reflection of trees in the water was beautiful, especially as the surface of the water was as smooth as a mirror. I quickly set the tripod and took a picture. I wanted to make it before the sun hid behind the clouds again. I managed to :)

This photo was taken during my short trip to Polish mountains. The path was very muddy and narrow but despite the uncomfortable feeling of wet shoes and socks, I felt fantastic and close to the nature.
