This is the Pastoruri Glacier in Peru, from this photo, it looks huge but it’s not even 30% of what was once before. As you can see, the ice is turning to water and creating this lake. Some researches show that this glacier will disappear in 3-4 years…

To reach the Pastoruri Glacier at 5300m above the sea level, you have to take a car until a point inside the Huascarán Park and from there, walk this path to get to the top, where you can see the lake and the huge block of ice.

The most incredible trekking I’ve ever done. It took me 3 hours to get there. I had to climb mountains, hills, valleys, among others. I could see hundreds of landscapes. The water ran out, I was very dehydrated and I felt I was dying. I saw many tourists walk with me, we all cheered up. No one ever gave up. We were at 4604 meters above sea level. But my goal was more powerful, I knew I had to get there. Until suddenly, in the distance, I saw a turquoise triangle … IT HAD COME IN! It was worth the effort.
