We awoke at 5am in the morning to ascend to the final leg of our 4 days hike on top of Poon Hill (3210 M). I placed my tripod down and set my camera up for a long exposure shot and this was the result. After about 40km of hiking, this shot was definitely worth every ounce of effort! The mountain range you’re looking at is the Annapurna mountain range with the middle peak being Annapurna South.
Nepal has the most amazing starry skies I have ever seen. ⛰️✨ On a good night the sky is so clear that you can see the milky way bending over the horizon and tens of thousands of stars glimmering with your own eyes. And when it all happens among the world’s most magnificent mountains the setup is perfect.
This was 7:30 in the morning, when the clouds usually have yet to settle. Though, this was one of the first times during the Everest Base Camp trek that we actually saw mountain peaks. The previous days it had been cloudy and misty, obstructing the magnificent vistas. I almost missed this view, since it’s the view looking backwards. It sure is important to look back once in a while!
We were on a humanitarian missions trip with Project Doxa and Lead.Church to the Southern Regions of Nepal that were recently devastated by massive flooding in 2017. This is a picture of some of the people who live in a remote village on the India boarder. We were able to bring this village bags of rice to feed their families and tin that helped rebuild some of their huts that were destroyed in the flooding.

It was in the Himalayas in Nepal, the village was called Dharapani and our guest house had this awesome roof top. The view was phenomenal and I spent a couple of hours there, until the sun disappeared behind the mountains (which happens pretty early, around 15:30!) I took some videos and time lapses and this photo is since then one of my favourites.

Annapurna Circuit, Nepal - 2015 -The 5th or 6th day of our family excursion, my brother and I grabbed some beers and headed to the roof of our lodge to enjoy the views of the sky. With both our cameras pointed up to the mountians, we talked about life, death, work and anything in between, producing some great shots.

We were in the Langtang region in Nepal on our mission to summit a mountain called the Naya Khanga (5863m). This photo was taken at our second base camp. I went up this little hill from where our tents were so that I can admire the beauty of the Himalaya mountains. In this photo, you can see Langtang Lirung (7227m). Oh, and can you spot the toilet in the picture?

After climbing Mt. Kala Patthar (5545m) I sat down on some rocks and waited for the sunset. As soon as the sun was gone the sky turned purple and gave me the chance to take a few more beautiful pictures before I had to head back to Gorachep where a warm stove was waiting for me.
We had to wake up quite early. Hiking partly in the cover of the night, using the flashlights to light the path to reach the top of the hill. We were there right on time to see the sun slowly bathing the peaks of Annapurna. It was really magnificent view as the sun slowly reaches the peaks and gray turns into orange and finally white. The mountains that inspired so many artists, battled with so many alpinists and provided shelter to so many people in need.

It was a foggy morning at Ghale Ghaun (2300m) and it was a little disappointing that we could not see the mountains. But all of a sudden when sun rose above the horizon the sky cleared up and presented with this surreal range of HImalchuli (left 7893m).

Ganesh Himāl (Nepali: गणेश हिमाल) is a sub-range of the Himalayas located mostly in north-central Nepal, but some peaks lie on the border with Tibet. The Trisuli Gandaki valley on the east separates it from the Langtang Himal; the Budhi (Buri) Gandaki valley and the Shyar Khola valley on the west separate it from the Sringi Himal and the Mansiri Himal (home of Manaslu, the nearest 8000m peak).

Meditator, monk in residence, prayers, prayer wheel, Gelugpa Monastery, Parping, hillside, Nepal This meditator had a bunch of bugs, little creatures living on his shrine and desk in between his books next to his bed. When people came he gestured to them to go hid - they'd crawl into the fruit and other offerings - as soon as the people left - he'd call them out, continue with his feeding of them and prayers, and they'd all crawl out again, so sweet!
