With a population of almost 400,000 in Maldives Male’ houses occupies about 200,000 people including foreign workers. As the local islanders finish their 10th or 12th grade they are somehow forced to come to city for their higher educations and to look for better opportunities. Its really sad to have one single city developed over 30 years instead of developing islands in different locations in Maldives. The current situation could have been avoided. I hope to see 5 more cities like this in Maldives in different locations so that one place won’t get packed. It’s beautiful from the Sky.
Located in its own atoll between Gaafu Dhaalu Atoll and Addu Atoll, the island of Fuvahmulah is the only one-island atoll in the Maldives. The White tern, locally known as Dhondheeni is a small seabird traditionally only confined to the Addu Atoll, the southern uttermost atoll in the Maldives. The White tern is one of the most beautiful and interesting resident birds found in the Maldives. In recent decades the white tern has been proudly used as a symbol by the people of Addu Atoll to represent their atoll in the Maldives.
I was droning with a friend of mine a year ago near the surfing area in capital of Maldives Male’ city around 1400 hours. We saw this young surfer all alone in the ocean playing with the mighty waves. I love the abstract feeling in this photo and to know how small we are yet how fearless we can be.

Here is me around 17;00 hours time in Maldives, which is just one hour before the sunset. i love taking shadow photos and so I was waiting for the perfect time to capture this with the turquoise water in one side and sandband on the other. it was so magical, thank god i took the drone with me.
SULTANS SURF POINT Sultans location next to Honkey’s puts the uninhabited island of Thamburudhoo, which they both break off of, in the running for the most perfect island in the world—luckily the beach and the entire atoll are government property and remain unrestricted. Sultans righthander on one side and Honkey’s lefthander on the other makes it a double threat that is hard to beat, especially when you consider that if Honkey’s is onshore, Sultans is offshore. This is that location you have been dreaming about—it always has something to surf.
