Late summer on the Peak Seceda, the meadows were mowed one last time and the rest of the first snow has not melted yet! The autumnal colours gain the upper hand!

It was a very windy day but I still managed to fly the drone. The view from the ground was already amazing so I had to know how it looks from the air.

I captured this beautiful mountain scape scene while driving through Passo Fedaia in northern Italy. It was early in the morning, and the light was gentle so you could see the layers of the landscape extend out toward the rugged mountains in the back.

After a night spent in my car with a friend, we hiked the path for Limides Lake, in Dolomites, near Cortina D’ampezzo, for catch some good morning light. For my friend this is the first walk in mountain of his entire life, 28 year, and really i’ve been honored to be the first one who have bring him in the mountain lover club! This is the very first light showed up that day.

We did a short road trip to the Dolomites (5hrs driving). We stopped the car almost every 5 meters because of the beautiful landscape. Reminded me to take the time and appreciate what is around you.

Wake up at 4 o’clock in the morning. Take the backpack, prepared the night before and get in the car. About 300km separate us from the destination. We reach the place around 7 AM. All parking lots are free and there is no one around. We walk towards the lake, that is not far from the parking lot and we see a lady who reads immersed in the silence of this magical place. To break the silence only a few birds and the camera shutter that tries to capture that incredible light.

Last weekend I went to Lake Braies, a beautiful mountain lake in Trentino Alto Adige (Italy). The water level was low, because of a long period without rain, so you could walk under the wooden house.

If you look right you’ll see that it was raining when I took this photo. We spent some times exploring the area of this magical place and finally needed to stay in a little & cosy cabin. Clouds & rain gave us a perfect moment to catch. Moody weather is definitely my favorite one to take photographies.

It’s really simple to visit this lake, it’s only 30 min from the city of Bolzano (Trentinto Alto Adige). I suggest to go there just before the sunset, to enjoy the wonderful reflection of Latemar, a group of mountains that belongs to the Dolomites.

It’s quite obvious that I have pledged myself to landscape photography. I ‘ve seen some amazing shots. Amazing. What bothers me sometimes (mostly in my photographs) is that there is no point of reference. It’s hard to clearly see the scale of these magnificent places. Did you see those tiny human silhouettes on the bottom left? Incredible perspective. We are so small, yet we do manage to hurt nature so much. And she’s been around way before us. Just a thought.

I woke up at 5:30am, a fast breakfast and then I left from Verona to reach the lake. After 3 hours I arrived at the lake, where I met other people with whom I organized the hike. The weather was great and the place really wonderful.

According to legends, once upon a time there was a mermaid living in the lake, which wizard Masaré was in love with. In order to seduce her, the witch Lanwerda advised him to dress up as jewel merchant and throw a rainbow from Mt Catinaccio to Mt Latemar. That is what he did, but he forgot to dress up. So the beautiful mermaid detected him and forever disappeared in Lake Carezza. The wizard was angry and threw all the pieces of the rainbow as well as the jewels into the waters. That’s why it still features rainbow colours.

The lake is called Pragser Wildsee, it is located in South Tyrol, Italy and it’s one of the most majestic places I have ever visited.

On a drive through the mountains of Dolomites in the Italian province of South Tyrol, we came across this lake, which was hidden between mountains and pine trees. The green color of the lake is said to be caused by underwater crystals. Needless to say the view was nothing short of spectacular.
