I was at the top of Mount Subasio, a big mountain in Umbria famous for a little, holy city: Assisi. I was with my friend enjoying the sunset when suddenly 3 horses passed by me and runned away.

A long ride in a summer night to meet the famous flower filelds of Castelluccio di Norcia. Castelluccio di Norcia is a small town on the top of a hill in Umbria, the heart as well as one o the most beautiful region of Italy. The fields of lentils are completely covered with poppies, cornflower and canola after their flowering and color these endless fields that extend as far as the eye can see. Visit these places at least once in your life: they will fill your heart and mind with a beautiful memory.

Sometimes the most interesting spots are so close to you. I’ve lived in this town most of my life and had never been to this small fishing lake just a few minutes from my house.

On a trip to Florence, had a chance to capture this from the top of the Duomo, overlooking the city. The trip up the stairs to the top is not a simple one but the view is well worth it.

I was on my trip to Monaco when I took this picture. I decided to let me go by the little country as I visited unknown places. I just wanted to get lost and to discover amazing places I wouldn’t otherwise have found. So I got to a point where I was completely lost and I just entered into this mysterious but beautiful alley. I just had to take a picture of it.

I had one day in Florence while our stay in the Tuscany and had really luck with the weather! After some raindrops the sun came out behind the clouds and we had a wonderful sunset sky.

The typical Italian Gothic building, the Cathedral of Florence, is dedicated to “Santa Maria del Fiore”. The church was designed by Arnolfo di Cambio (c1245-1302) who considerably enlarged the existing religious structure. Finished around 1367, the Cathedral was completely covered by coloured marbles like the earlier Baptistery, except for the façade that remained unfinished and was terminated only in the 19th century. - www.museumsinflorence.com

The cathedral includes the famous Il Duomo, the world’s largest freestanding dome without a supporting wooden frame. Started in 1420 and completed in 1436, it was created by the architect Filippo Brunelleschi.

This picture was taken from the gardens in the heights of Florence. This is probably one of the most peaceful place I know right in the middle of a city : this view is just amazing 😎

Florence's cathedral stands tall over the city with its magnificent Renaissance dome designed by Filippo Brunelleschi, with the baptistery right across. The cathedral named in honor of Santa Maria del Fiore is a vast Gothic structure.

Hanging out with friends up on the hills near my lovely city, Bologna, Italy. I brought with me my Lensball to take some cool pic and here it is! Love how the snowy landscape reflects inside the ball.

I was walking on the grass on a fresh autumnal day on the mountains. I saw this road, in tue middle or the coloured trees. I took my camera and I immediately shot.

1st time in Venice. A nightmare at summer. In spite San Marcos Piazza was fully crowded I managed to take a picture without none.

This shot was taken from the water on a cloudy autumn day. The drama of the overhanging clouds created a more moody feel than is seen in most brochures so I got into action to shoot it. Always crowded with tourists, it was nice to be able to be back far enough back from the square itself to appreciate the extent of the square’s bordering buildings.

I took this shot during the second Unsplash photowalk organized in Italy. Unsplash is not only a place where users can find free photos, but also a place where people, passionate about photography, can find people with the same passion.

Palazzo Cavalli-Franchetti is a palace in Venice, Italy, not far from the Ponte dell’Accademia and next to the Palazzo Barbaro on the Grand Canal of Venice. The palace was erected in 1565. In the 19th century it was internally modernised and externally enriched in Venetian Gothic style, with rich window framing, by a series of grand owners.

After browsing through my photos from Venice I realized that the building and the river reveal the Italian flag.

Midnight. We were on the way back from Piazza San Marco. As we zig zagged through the endless maze of bridges that is Venice, I looked across and everything lined up. The moon was aligned right at the centre of the canal. Just as I pressed the shutter, a speedboat buzzed down the lane. I hesitated for a moment before pushing down on the button.
