I hiked nearly a hundred miles in Iceland, and yet one of my best photos from the trip was only a 2-minute walk from the parking lot.
It was always a dream to go to Iceland when I was there, everything couldn’t be so perfect as it was. I still feel the power of the water and it’s sound.
Back in early March, I had spent the morning with Icelandic ponies and the afternoon wandering around Seljalandfoss and Gljúfrabúi waterfalls. Both are beautiful and situated close by each other. This photo was taken just when the moon was rising and peaking through at the top.

here is the famous waterfall in Iceland. Ok one of many! This is a throwback to June. And I can tell you, it wasn’t very summery. In fact, it was damn cold outside and it rained on us every single day! I was pretty surprised it didn’t snow this day. My hands were actually numb from from holding the Canon but I managed! It was well worth it! This is a fantastic place. I highly recommend the trip if you can make it. I hope to get there in the winter for the northern lights. The spent the whole day just on the ring with plenty to see. Five days surely was just enough leaving me hungry for more!

I got completely soaked taking this photo. #1 top travel tip I could ever offer about Iceland is if you must go during the summer (which you should not) wait until 10pm-7am to go see everything. The sun is always light enough and you will see the most majestic places all to yourself. This was about 2 am behind one of my favorite waterfalls on earth. 🇮🇸🙌
winter visit to one of the crowdiest waterfalls on the south of Iceland. There was a moment ....light moment of not so many people…can you see the couple standing almost behind the waterfall?
