Puffin on top of Latrabjag cliffs, the most western point of europe. I guess this guy acctually was standing most west it could get in Iceland…until it flew away into the sea

One night, under a heavy wind as only north of Iceland can provide, we where stuck in this lovely town of Stykkishólmur. Maybe not what you think first when checking what to visit in Iceland but this town and it’s region is worth the road! This church has been designed by Jón Haraldsson, concecration happened in 1980. The sweeping bell tower was thinked to looks like a whale vertebra. Some people will told you that it was drawn to be viking drakkar. The interior include a Madonna painting with child floating in the night sky, you will also notice the hundreds of suspended lights.

This Gem is one of Iceland’s most photographed locations. I could not miss out on it’s beauty.

I’ve seen so many pictures of this particular mountain in Iceland, but almost all of them capture it from the same perspective. I got lucky enough at 2:30 in the morning to catch a glimpse of the northern lights, which were not supposed to be out this time of year. All the way down by the ocean, my hands completely frozen, this mystical mountain showed a glimpse of beauty that I’ve never seen before.

We took this picture while it was snowing and everyone had left because of the bad weather. The only thing about Iceland is that weather changes every 5 minutes. This was taken during Spring time and there still was snow and walking through waterfalls and streams is not a smart idea. Only do if the picture is going to be epic

They say if you don’t like the weather in Iceland, then just wait 5 minutes and it’ll change. It had been raining sideways basically all morning, so when I pulled off the road to get here I sat in my car thinking the rain would let up at any moment. Well, 45 minuets goes by and it’s still coming down, so I just decide to jump out of the car, shielding my lens from as much water as possible, run up the hill and get the shot. Of course, not long after getting back in the car the rain stops and the sun comes out

There are two ways through life, the way of Nature and the way of Grace. You have to choose which one you’ll follow. Grace doesn’t try to please itself. Accepts being slighted, forgotten, disliked. Accepts insults and injuries. Nature only wants to please itself. Get others to please it too. Likes to lord it over them. To have its own way. It finds reasons to be unhappy when all the world is shining around it. And love is smiling through all things.

This incredible mountain is located in the North Western part of Iceland. We went there ending a week long trip around the country and man was this amazing to see with our own eyes. Next time we will try and spend the night there, will probably be cold but no doubt Northern Lights here would be absolutely worth it. Magic!

Kirkjufell mountain is one of Iceland’s top attractions and quite possibly the most picturesque scene on the Snæfellsnes peninsula in West Iceland. The mountain is right along the road, about 5 minutes outside the town of Grundarfjörður, and this photo was taken by walking down the path on the right side of the Kirkjufellsfoss waterfall as you look up at the mountain. Kirkjufell mountan or the church mountain. I hiked early in the morning to do some shots and the sun came just out, to illuminate it a bit. Sea level was low, so i could walk on the coast around it. There is a lot of pictures with the waterfall next on it, but i tried a bit different perspective :)

It was heavily overcast and threatening rain when we pulled into Grundarfjörður harbour but the sun broke through briefly and illuminated a small farm on the shore.

The Snæfellsnes Peninsula really is Iceland in a nutshell; here some of the most incredible scenes in the whole country can be found. We found this lighthouse on a stormy day, and the drone battled the wind to get up high enough and get the shot.

Snaefellsnes in iceland, the part that also hosts arrow shaped mountain (or as it’s called for non-GoT viewers: Kirkjufell ;)). It not only provides that iconic view but many others, and is a great area just to drive around and be happy :) Buy awesome, limited edtition, photo prints: handpictphoto.com
