Having just dropped my last travel buddy off I headed back to Lake Atitlan and found an incredible spot to camp right next to the lake. this was short shortly after the sunrise over Lake Atitlan in Guatemala. Who knows how many fisherman this dock has seen pass by.
This was taken on the decent of Volcano Acatenango. We were racing down to beat some weather moving in but managed to get this shot in during a short break.

On a trip to Lake Atitlán we encounter one of the most picturesque and beautiful lake scenes we’ve seen. Every single dock in Lake Atitlán in the Guatemalan Highlands is extremely picturesque. They are all different colors with colorful water taxis ready to take you to any of the villages around the lake.

Walked up to cerro de la cruz to have a nice view of the whole city of Antigua at sunset. The view was excellent, the sky was clear and the volcanoes were visible.

After summiting Volcan De Acatanango at around 5.30am we were greeted with this view. to the right you have the silhouette of Volcan Fuego with the small city of Antigua partially covered in clouds.

As the sun dips below the horizon and falls behind the volcanoes, the hustle and bustle of the city quiets... and the waters calm. I love me a good ol' sunset. This is Lake Atitlan, Guatemala. I've never been to a place that felt so adventurous and relaxing at the same time. You can go for hikes, wander the cities, or stroll and enjoy calm moments like these. Perfection.
