As we were adventuring in wolves’ territory in the Parc National du Mercantour, the weather suddenly changed. That’s pretty common in the mountains. The blazing sun left the place for a thick fog. Soon enough, the tree-covered hills were drowned in the mists. I’ve always wanted to shoot these landscapes of grey trees and mist. However, these are hard to come by in Montréal. So I couldn’t let this opportunity slip away and just fired at will. This is one of many other misty pics. Hope you’ll enjoy them.

On the frontier of the National Park of Mercantour, next to a wolves preservation center, there’s this small cabin. As we were getting drenched, the view reminded me of Cabin Porn (one of my favorite books) and I couldn’t help but get into the rain and snap a picture inspired by the great photographers who contributed to CP. This picture is also like a mirage of a promised land, far from civilization and noise, in harmony with nature. My brother and I drove hours out of our way to come see this place, and I’m glad we did. Having a hire van meant we could get to places that would be impossible to get to via public transport; this was one of those places. We hired a paddle boat for an hour and paddled down the river. It was unbelievably relaxing, if not slightly romantic. Next time I’ll take my girlfriend not my brother.

A fantastic country. This is an amazing location where the river is cutting the mountain in two and leave a beautiful and peaceful place for us to relax.

This picture was taken on the Baou de St Jeanette close to Nice after a great, long hike. The view up there was amazing, we could see all over Nice up to Monaco since the day was beautiful and clear.

Went on a spontaneous weekend trip to Nice with my friend Arnela by car last week. We explored a bit, chilled at the beach and took some photos.

In late May 2018, I was lucky enough to go to Nice, France for 5 days, and to rediscover this city. It’s a place that is dear to my heart because I used to go there each year from the time I was 3 weeks old until I was 18. Last time I’d gone was in August 2009, almost a decade ago. The series of photos I took in Nice was a way for me to put in picture the fading memories I had from a place that is synonymous to childhood innocence, it’s a bubble out of time and space. If the architecture evokes Italy, it also reminds me at times of Florida or California, and it has some Wes Andersonian vibe.

Visiting The French Alps is always an incredible idea to take awesome pictures, luckily it does not depend on the quality of the snow!

The medieval town of Eze at the French Cote D'Azur. When I turned around I saw this beautiful shot. We climbed up the mountain (instead of taking a bus) so the result was very rewarding. Picture was taking with Google Camera on a custom rom Galaxy S8.

Les Sybelles is a French linked ski area, located in the Savoie department in the Alps. It is one of the largest skiable domains in France. The resort was the home base of Jean-Pierre Vidal, winner of the gold medal in slalom at the 2002 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City.

Herd of sheeps and goats crossing the road in front of a car at the Col du Glandon in Savoie this autumn (France). I allowed myself a small modification of the traffic sign to give priority to the herd over the car, the mountain being the territory of wildlife and not humans. :-)
