Love padlocks can nowadays been found almost everywhere in the world, especially in Europe, where they originate from, according to the over 100 year old Serbian tale. Some municipals treat them as litter or vandalism, but many embrace them as they may attract visitors and tourists. This shot is taken in the small city of Tampere, 180km north of Helsinki, Finland. A longexposure shot taken during an evening in November.

We hiked to the Nuuksio national park here in Finland and while walking through the forest, I stumbled upon this beautiful scene. The water is very calm and you can see the autumn changing colours of trees. Also there are a lot of pine trees :)

This is the oldest ski slope in Finland! Located in a small town called Kauniainen it was oppened in the 30s. It´s also the 2nd slope in the country that was equipped with a ski lift. Nowadays it´s kind of like the best kept secret in this town, since not that many people from surrounding areas know about it. But there are a lot of local kids practicing there.

During a rainy autumn-sunday in Helsinki, I saw this little guy during my walk in Seurasaari. Fearless as this little creature was, it let me pretty close with my camera.

One day it’s sunny in Helsinki, feels like Spring has finally set in. In the next day there’s a thick fog covering the archipelago, reducing visibility to a few meters and making it feel like winter is back. What you learn in Finland is that there’s no such thing as a perfect weather for being outside, you just go.

Skateboarding is more than a sport, it’s a way of living - a lifestyle. This shot is taken in eastern Helsinki, Finland, with a 10mm wide angle lens and supportive flash. Don’t fear the flash, as it sometimes can bring life, drama and depth to action shots :)
