An unplanned trip to the Mornington Peninsula brought us to Gunnamatta Beach. This incredible surf beach is only a 1h30 drive away from Melbourne. I was still in the water when I saw the sun starting to come down and the sky transforming into bright orange and gold colours. I ran back to the car to grab my camera gear and capture the moment. #UnsplashExpedition

Whenever I visit friends and relatives in Melbourne in South Eastern Australia, I like to spend some time in the cathedral-like mountain ash forests. In this photo, you can just detect the slightly bluish haze typical of eucalyptus forests. Eucalyptus oil is volatile, and also adds a wonderful fresh fragrance to the air. These trees are the second tallest in the world (after the Coast Redwood), and are the tallest flowering plant in the world.

It was the last day of a week-long camp in Neerim South State Forest, Victoria. After a Disney-themed party, we wanted to stay up all night to savour our experience. I had only met Kim Possible that night, as we decided to climb this mountainous hill for the sunrise. It is still one of the best memories of my life.
