Lofoten is an archipelago and a traditional district in the county of Nordland, Norway. Lofoten has distinctive scenery with dramatic mountains and peaks, open sea and sheltered bays, beaches and untouched lands. Its largest town, Leknes, is approximately 169 km inside the Arctic Circle and approximately 2,420 km away from the North Pole, making Lofoten one of the world's northernmost populated regions. Lofoten Islands
- This is one of the countless small fishing huts that are dotted along the shore of Norway’s fjords. This is the Lofotens - a staggeringly beautiful chain of islands in the arctic circle. I worked hard to make sure that the snow wasn’t overexposed and blown out. I also like the fact it isn’t red (though many of the huts are) because it adds to the bleakness of the image.

Lofoten Islands
- This image was taken on the first night camping in the wild of the Lofoten and I could not have been luckier. Veinestinden offers one of the most spectacular views on the whole islands. After the clouds vanished, they gave way to beatiful golden light breaking through. A truly breathtaking moment.
