Cusco, often spelled Cuzco, is a city in southeastern Peru, on the eastern end of the Knot of Cuzco near the Urubamba Valley of the Andes mountain range. It is the capital of the Cusco Region and of the Cusco Province. The city is the seventh most populous in Peru, and in 2017 it had a population of 428,450. Its elevation is around 3,400 m.

Many people ask me why I almost always travel to Cusco. For me, the answer is very simple: I love it. Every time I’m there, I feel very good vibes, for the incredible landscapes, and for the traditions that keep the place alive.

- The first photographic procedure was developed in 1839, when Louis Daguerre perfected the technique of Joseph Nicéphore Niépce and disseminated it worldwide in Paris, at the French Academy of Sciences. This procedure was based on the invention of the daguerreotype, which consists in obtaining an image on a polished silver surface. On August 19 it was chosen as the World Day of Photography because that same day, in 1839, the daguerreotype was established as the first practice of the photographic process and the French government announced that photography had been invented in the city of Paris
