Buda Castle is the historical castle and palace complex of the Hungarian kings in Budapest. It was first completed in 1265, but the massive Baroque palace today occupying most of the site was built between 1749 and 1769.

- Republic vs Monarchy. Hungary has its history being a Monarchy for almost a thousand years, then we dropped the Kingdom from the name and picked up the Republic. On the left the Building of the Parliament was built at the beginning of the 20th century, on the opposite side of the Danube, looking straight up to the Buda Castle Hill, where the kings were before.

- It was the last day of our company trip before we flew back to our respective homes in different countries. A group of us decided to walk around the beautiful city of Budapest, and we went up a hill to get a bird’s eye view of the city. The hike was pretty tiring, but the view we were rewarded with was so worth it.

- There were so many times when I found myself in a lucky position in Budapest. There were so many one-in-a-million shots that I never thought I would get. This was one of them. I was standing in the courtyard of the Buda Castle, taking photos of the Pest skyline below, when a flock of birds filled up the sky above.
