- As we drove through the tiny Delft Island in Sri Lanka’s Northern Province we went past this dried up lake bed. As soon as I saw it I asked our tuktuk driver to pull over, I could see an epic photo and wanted to see if I could make it work! I asked my partner to be my model and walk into the desert-scape and love the outcome with the small cluster of Palmyra Palms in the left of the composition. I love the contrast of the very white sandy lake bed. Quite the opposite of typical Sri Lanka imagery!
