Colonia del Sacramento is a city in southwestern Uruguay, by the Río de la Plata, facing Buenos Aires, Argentina. It is one of the oldest towns in Uruguay and capital of the Colonia Department. It has a population of around 27,000.

Finishing the first trip we made together with my (now) wife, we found ourselves wasting time in the Colonia’s Port until our ship sailed, and while we took the famous drink of the south called “mate� the sun began to fall until it gave us this blessed postcard that we can never erase from our minds.
Thank God my phone had a battery at the time!
