Pompeii
Pompeii was an ancient city located in what is now the comune of Pompei near Naples in the Campania region of Italy. Pompeii, along with Herculaneum and many villas in the surrounding area, was buried under 4 to 6 m of volcanic ash and pumice in the eruption of Mount Vesuvius in AD 79.

Back in November 2016, my Fiancée and I headed to the Pompeii Excavation Site. I had been here when I was 15, back in 2005, but they’ve opened up SO MUCH more of the site since - I wasn’t prepared for the huge walk around the site haha, very warm day too. I’ve used one of Annie Spratt’s presets to give this photo a bit of extra depth, looks pretty good I think!
