The Valle Verzasca is a valley in the Locarno district of the Canton of Ticino, Switzerland. It comprises the municipalities of Mergoscia, Vogorno, Corippo, Lavertezzo, Brione, Gerra, Frasco, and Sonogno. As of 2004, the total population of 3,200.

in Valle Verzasca you can actually jump down the 13m high bridge into the river Verzasca which is about 11 degrees Celsius warm/cold. In summer time it is a great attraction. a couple hundred meters away is the legendary masonry dam of Verzasca where James Bond jumped down in Goldeneye.
