Hiawatha National Forest is a 894,836-acre National Forest in the Upper Peninsula of the state of Michigan in the United States. Commercial logging is conducted in some areas.

About this picture

This lighthouse was built in the early 1800’s and was functional up until the 1980’s. One family owned it that entire time, and the man who built it lived here until his death with his small family that consisted of him, his wife, and his 12 children.
