Hamnøy or Hamnøya is a small fishing village in Moskenes Municipality in Nordland county, Norway. It is located on the eastern side of the island of Moskenesøya, about 1.5 kilometres northeast of the village of Reine, along the Vestfjorden.

About this picture
During a very rainy day, unable to climb any of the mountains surrounding Reine, we went out for a little roadtrip and, just as we returned, the clouds ripped open for a few minutes when we stopped in Hamnøy to take some pictures.
A massivel assault of rain got me seconds after this photograph was captured. I didn’t make the ten metres back to the car without getting soaked to my underwear.

Back in the days red was for barns in farms, cheap building but now it just looks gorgeous with the landscape. ⛰
