Papuan Frogmouth. I like this photo because the bird has its bill open (which is rare) and you can see into its mouth. The eyes of this individual are not as red as they usually are for this species, so I manipulated them to make them more like what is normal for the species.

- A dragonfly has landed and is resting on a crocodile which is floating in the water. This is a large crocodile, about sixty years old, at Hartleys Crocodile Adventures Australia. There is a sign next to the enclosure saying that the staff there call him Greg, after one of the zoo keepers, who apparently shares a similar disposition.

I am not happy with the lighting in this photo, where the koala is in the deep shade of an orange/brown tarpaulin (which is needed to give them shelter from the rain and the sun), and the bright light background, but I can't help being amused by the way they can sleep anywhere in any position.
