About this picture
This photo was taken at the end of my 10 week road trip around the USA. The whole trip was filled with incredible views, but the is something very special about Yosemite National Park. The incredible size of the mountain range is hard to judge in a photo, it has to be seen in person be truly appreciated.

Yosemite National Park Road
- Early one morning while waiting for the light to appear at Yosemite National Park epic Tunnel View, I decided to exercise a different perspective. I looked into the Tunnel. As this was a very snowy/icy day, there was very little traffic and it was easy to hear it approaching so I set up for a long exposure picture looking down into the Tunnel to capture it’s vanishing perspective lines.

- I met this gentleman, who has been photographing Yosemite for the past 30 years, as I was about to leave the park. I could spend hours talking to him about photography, he explained to me how he uses the large format film camera, told me stories about old times and more. The work that he puts into his photos is amazing.

- We had just completed a strenuous hike, and all of us were so exhausted until we stumbled across deer in our path. They were just minding their business, not worried about us in anyway. I immediately snapped the photo of one of them crossing and continued to walk toward camp. It certainly was such a sweet moment!

- I was driving through Yosemite on my way back home when I saw this. It perfectly symbolized the cycle of life, with the new greenery exploding around the tall, charred trees that once were. There wasn’t anywhere to pull over, so I stopped, grabbed my camera and took a single shot. I’m glad it turned out.

- by far one of the most amazing views I have ever seen. The Tunnel view in Yosemite National Park does a great job putting g life into perspective and really showing how small we really are. Shot this 2 weeks ago just before it started raining. Its amazing how much water is in the valley right now.
