Formentera is the smallest of the islands in the Spanish Balearic archipelago in the Mediterranean Sea. It can be reached by ferry from the neighbouring island of Ibiza, which is better known and more popular. A small haven of peace with white sand and turquoise water, no airports, no stress, just a few roads that connect its most beautiful sites. In Formentera, you will find diving centres where you can explore the sea bed. They are home to a multitude of rock formations, great biodiversity and the largest wreck in the Mediterranean, the Don Pedro. The villages of Formentera are very charming, the white colour of the building facades making them special. Formentera is made up of six villages, but its capital, Sant Francesc, with its 3,000 inhabitants, is the most populated. Here you will find one of the most famous markets on the island, as well as a wide range of services and restaurants. Finally, the lighthouses are one of the attractions of this island. You will see high cliffs and enjoy a magnificent view.
