Zipolite is a town and beach on the Pacific coast in the southern state of Oaxaca, Mexico. Leaving their coffee plantations in the late 1960s, some of the inhabitants of Puerto Angel went to live around the gringos, creating small dwellings in the form of rustic huts on the beach and selling the fish brought in by fishermen from nearby communities. This place is therefore very charming and typical of Mexican life. For those who like to party, there are several places and parties are often organised on the beach. For quieter moments you can go through the shopping street, the Calle del Adoquin, which creates a kind of small tourist centre parallel to the shore.
