Gullfoss (translated as "Golden Falls") is one of Iceland's most iconic and beloved waterfalls, located in the Hvítá River Canyon in southwest Iceland.
The water of the Hvítá River starts at the Langjökull Glacier, before cascading 32 metres (105 feet) down the two-storey Gullfoss - a spectacle of nature's raw power. This incredible site is seen by most travellers when visiting the Golden Circle.
For a leisurely visit to this area, there are some great hotels to stay in, all of which are different from one another!
