Standing with the Golden Gate bridge towering above me, the cold crisp air blowing through my clothes. The array of sounds from the rushing of the wind, to the traffic speeding past below me, to the eery boom of the safety horn alerting the boats making their way through the mist. The clouds continue to pour in, revealing and concealing the bridge every few minutes. I stand still. Breath. Take in this moment that I’ll remember forever.
As I awaited the Angels to fly over the Golden Gate Bridge, I snapped this photo of the fog rolling through its gates. I love the way this photo makes me feel, really cool but structured. Stop by @its.matchu on instagram and say hi!
We did the full tourist experience when we visited Northern California and when we went on the boat tour of the Golden Gate Bridge the tour guide told us the paint color of the bridge was called “international orange”. The architects had to choose one color to paint the entire bridge and it was no coincidence that they chose a color that was inclusive and named it international as San Fran is the home to people from all over the world.
I was over the moon to finally get out and fly the drone on a night with very little wind. I’d been waiting weeks for this shot to finally have some potential… and I was over the moon at the resulting trails. Initially I thought it may have been inevitable that the bridge was slightly out of focus… however the focus point stayed tack sharp throughout the 8 second exposure.
The best discoveries are the ones where you don’t have to travel far, but also nobody knows about them. These falls aren’t far from our home but oddly enough, it’s not a popular tourist destination and most people have never heard of them. You only have to hike about 500m and the trail opens up to this 95ft waterfall… in-cred-i-ble.
A classic shot of the Golden Gate Bridge, but at night. I shot this down by the Coast Guard Station. This never gets old as there is always something different happening down here. I’m on IG @bryangoffphoto Stop by and say hi!
