The weather was really nice that day and really warm which is not that common at the beginning of November in Germany. The Eibsee is one of my favorite spots in the alps and always worth a visit. If there is no wind you can get awesome reflections in the lake.
Once we got to the top of the Half Dome, I quickly found this spot and asked my wife to go to the edge of the cliff and pose there. I got a confident NO and had to switch roles. That rare case when I’m a model and my wife is a photographer. It played pretty well.
As we were adventuring in wolves’ territory in the Parc National du Mercantour, the weather suddenly changed. That’s pretty common in the mountains. The blazing sun left the place for a thick fog. Soon enough, the tree-covered hills were drowned in the mists. I’ve always wanted to shoot these landscapes of grey trees and mist. However, these are hard to come by in Montréal. So I couldn’t let this opportunity slip away and just fired at will. This is one of many other misty pics. Hope you’ll enjoy them. I drove from 1am to 6am to make it up to Mammoth to reach this mountain range before sunrise. I was able to make it on this beautiful clear morning before the sunrise and ran around trying to find the perfect angle and then I came across this perfect moment of the sun just peeking over and hitting Mount Whitney.
