Live the dream of the American Pacific Coast, United States Let yourself be transported by breathtaking scenery as you visit the western coast of the USA. The West Coast, or Pacific Coast, takes you through the states of California, Oregon, Washington and Alaska, as well as the Canadian province of British Columbia, which was once part of the former Oregon Country. Hawaii is included in the Pacific Rim of the United States. As a group of volcanic islands, it lies more than 3,200 km from the Pacific states of the United States, yet it has little in common with the mainland states in geological terms. The different regions of the Pacific Coast have unifying geographical qualities, thanks in part to the Pacific Ocean, which is one of the natural boundaries, and the coastal mountain ranges, which form the regional rocky boundary. You can explore the Pacific Coast, depending on your taste and programme. You can visit famous cities such as Seattle, Portland, San Francisco, Las Vegas, Los Angeles with the famous Hollywood area ! You can also take a self-drive tour on US 101, to explore the heights of the American West, from the white snows of Mount Rainier to the azure waters of Crater Lake. This is a driving tour that follows the Pacific coast from Seattle to San Francisco. In a more pedestrian spirit, you can choose to walk along the Walk of Fame, and take a stroll along the beaches of Santa Monica or Venice Beach. As far as the weather is concerned, the best time to go on this trip is from June to September. The sun will be out and temperatures will vary between 20 and 30°C depending on the region and the altitude. The season from Halloween to Christmas can also be interesting when you want a cold and snowy climate in the national parks. Be careful when choosing your season, as some roads may be closed! There is also less interest in visiting the beaches on the Pacific Coast under a winter sky… Only one tool will be essential to you, it is your camera! So don't hesitate and launch yourself into the American dream!
