Learn More about Dumbo

In the US, there are not only two famous bridges Brooklyn and Manhattan, there is also a place where you can immerse yourself in the artistic breath of New York. That's the DUMBO area, not the name of the big-eared flying elephant in Walt Disney's cartoon. DUMBO stands for Down Under the Manhattan Bridge Overpass.

In the 19th century, this area was originally a warehouse with a ferry terminal, located right between the Brooklyn and Manhattan bridges. At the end of the 20th century, American real estate billionaire David Walentas and his company Two Trees Management bought the entire DUMBO area. And according to the American press at that time, David Walentas completely "makeover" the land with abandoned warehouse and ferry port into a high-class financial residential area. The corners of DUMBO's streets are easy to see fashion magazines, fashion brands are setting up and taking pictures with models. Another small house, with a shop selling handmade children's goods at the top. But try to enter, follow the small path just right deep inside, another world appears.

DUMBO has two excellent and famous bookstores for their layout as well as interesting books for all ages: Power House Arena and P.S Bookshop. P.S Bookshop is so loved that during the last financial crisis of the store, everyone has joined hands to support financially so that the bookstore can reopen normally. If traveling with children, it would be remiss not to go to the merry-go-round that dates back to 1922. Or, just watch the puppies play in the dog park right on the Hudson River.

Until now DUMBO has become a haven for art galleries, where daring business ideas begin to rekindle. Startups mostly focus on engineering and computing, so DUMBO is also nicknamed "the center of Brooklyn's technical triangle". The works of art or fashion products sold in the DUMBO area are almost unique. Hardly a major fashion brand has stores in this area, for one thing, this is an area for creativity, originality and individuality.
