The Oeschinen Lake is classified as a Unesco World Heritage Site and is recognised by many as the most stunning mountain lake in the Alps. It lies on the top of Kandersteg and is an untouched mountain lake fed by the glacial streams of the three-thousand-metre peaks Blüemlisalp, Oeschinenhorn, Fründenhorn and Doldenhorn.
