Timanfaya National Park is a national park on the island of Lanzarote in the Canary Islands. The park covers an area of over 50 square kilometers and was founded in 1974. The park is best known for its volcanic landscapes, which were created by the eruptions of the volcano Montaña Blanca in the 18th century.
Some things to keep in mind when visiting Timanfaya National Park:

- carry water with you as there are no places to buy water inside the park

Ticket price and entrance fee of Timanfaya National Park
The price to enter the park is €12 per adult (6€ per kid 7-12 years old). This includes the parking and the coach tour. This tour will take you around the park for about 30 to 40 minutes: you will be able to take beautiful pictures of the landscape staying insite the coach. The tour is available in three languages: Spanish, English and German.
Coming back from the tour, you will have demonstration of the volcano heat and power.
Tip: you want to arrive early to avoid a very long queue. Also, you can get an online ticket.
Save money and buy a tourist pass if you plan on visiting more than 3 attractions on the island. There are passes for 3 to 6 attractions, which you can buy at the Timanfaya’s Montañas del Fuego but also at the Mirador del Río, the Jameos del Agua, the Cueva de los Verdes, at MIAC – Castillo de San José and the Cactus Garden.

It is forbidden to walk around the volcanoes by yourselves but free guided tours are organized:
The Tremesana route from Yaiza (3 kilometers - 3 hours) - The Coastal route from El Golfo (9 kilometers - 6 hours).
Both are very popular so be sure to book your spot in advance. While following your passionate guide, you will be walking and observing lunar landscapes.
Tours are in English or Spanish. Please know that if you do not understand one of those language, you won't be able to go on the tour.
